The Daily Collection Report is an operational audit tool used by Site Managers and Society Treasurers. It provides a real-time view of all liquidity entering the societyβs accountsβwhether via cash, cheque, or electronic transfer.

- Cash Reconciliation: Match the “Cash in Hand” against the physical cash box at the end of every day.
- Cheque Tracking: Ensure all received cheques are recorded and ready for bank deposit.
- Online Verification: Cross-verify NEFT/IMPS transfers recorded in the system against bank statements.
- Staff Accountability: Tracking which staff member received which payment.
2. Analysis Use Cases π
The report is primarily used for daily financial control:
A. End-of-Day Balancing
- Process: Accountants generate this report to see the total number of collections for the day.
- Verification: The total “Cash” amount on the report must match the actual physical cash received at the site office.
B. Cheque Deposit Register
- Process: Use the report to prepare bank deposit slips.
- Verification: The report lists specific Cheque Numbers and Dates, ensuring no cheques are missed during the deposit process.
C. Collection Performance
- Process: Management uses the report to track collection spikes (usually in the first 10 days of the month after invoices are issued).

- Voucher Receipts: The core transaction where member payments are recorded.
- Daily Activity Log: Complements the collection report with staff shift details.

Selection Filters
- Date Range: Typically select “Today” for daily balancing or a 7-day range for weekly deposit reviews.
Generation Mode
- Print (Excel): Generates a high-fidelity Excel file (
.xlsx). It includes subtotals by payment mode (Total Cash vs. Total Bank) to make banking easier.
